Abstract

The total number of photons emitted by a black body in thermodynamical equilibrium is found to be 1.5×1011×T3 photons per sec. per cm2. The total number of photons emitted by the sun in a period of about 20,000 years equals the total number of protons and neutrons contained in the sun.
