Abstract
A method for making long focal length galvanometer mirrors is described, together with a scheme utilizing a multiple light source for extending the range of the galvanometer deflection recorder. The use of three-meter focal length mirrors and the multiple light source is described for a double galvanometer recorder placed at four meters from the recorder. The traces of the second galvanometer are made distinguishable from those of the first by recording dotted lines produced by a rotating vane in the light path of the second galvanometer. A trace of the ultraviolet continuum from a hydrogen emission spectrum is given on single and multiple range recordings to illustrate the use of this particular recorder.
