Red and Infra-Red Filters for the Study of the Herschel Effect

Not Accessible

Abstract

The contradictory literature about the Herschel effect can largely be explained by the fact that sufficiently safe filters are not used for the red exposure. The part of the actinic light that may pass the red filter without complications is extremely small. A few red filters and tests made with them are described, and further conditions for good results with Herschel filters are mentioned.
