Photogrammetric Errors from Camera Lens Decentering

Abstract

A mathematical study has been made of the distortion introduced by a thin prism associated with a perfect lens of 6-in. focal length covering a 9 in.×9 in. negative. The position of the principal point for minimum distortion is found to lie away from the two currently used.
