Photometric Evaluation of Luminous Materials for Naval Uses

Abstract

Types of luminous materials being used by the Navy are given in brief outline with some mention of particular application to problems arising under dark or near-dark conditions. The program for improving low brightness photometry at the Naval Research Laboratory is explained with special attention given to physical photometry, utilizing photo-multiplier tubes.
