Abstract
Light scattering plays a part in determining the colors of a halftone print. By treating the print as a filter in contact with a scattering medium and ignoring second-order effects, approximate equations are derived which enable an upper limit to be set on the error resulting from the use of the Neugebauer equations in the usual way. The error is found to be no more important than the other errors associated with their use.
