Abstract

The absorption spectra of an alkaline solution of potassium chromate and a sample of “Tropex” glass were determined in fifteen cooperating laboratories using the Cary and Beckman DU spectrophotometers under comparable conditions. Simple statistical calculations on the results indicate satisfactory agreement among the several instruments of the same manufacture and also between the two types of spectrophotometers.
