Abstract
The construction of a heated dual beam infrared gas cell for a Perkin-Elmer Model 21 spectrophotometer is described. The cell windows of sodium chloride are sealed to the cell by means of silicone stopcock grease. This seal has been found to be satisfactory up to a temperature of 350°C.
