Abstract
A stroboscopic light source is described for observing the kinetic behavior of chemical systems by absorption spectrometry. The light consists of a short train of flashes in an accurately timed sequence. Such a system takes advantage of the brilliance of the xenon flash source while at the same time making it possible to observe the system at a sequence of times. Accurate timing is inherent in the apparatus.
