Visual Thresholds in the Retinal Periphery for Red, Green, and White Signal Lights

Abstract

Experiments on the visual threshold in the periphery, including the extreme periphery, are reported. The method of adjustment was used to obtain the threshold for steady white, red, and green signals subtending an angle of 2.6 min at the observer’s eye. Results are presented graphically.
