Four hundred and ten lines of the ultraviolet spectrum, from 2117 A to 3072 A, have been measured in this study, with a probable error of 0.005 A, on high-dispersion quartz-prism spectrograms. A small electronic computer, the Burroughs E101, has been used to great advantage in calculating the wavelengths and wave numbers and in analyzing the spectrum. Two new terms have been discovered. Two hundred and fourteen lines have been classified, of which 152 were previously known. The energy values for 16 levels of seven previously known terms have been revised.

Table IV
Comparison of observed values used in calculating selected levels from Table III.
The new interferometric values5 were used for the lower levels.
The difference between the observed and calculated wavelengths of the line involved.
Calculated from the wave numbers of the lines and lower levels as Russell lists them.13
This value was assigned a weight of one-half in the calculations.
This value was disregarded in the calculations.
Scale is from 0 to 10 with a dash indicating very weak lines. Intensities are not given for the lines referred to in footnote c.
The numbers used to distinguish lines belonging to the same multiplet were assigned by Russell.13 Newly found multiplets are designated by lower case letters.
Twenty-six lines classified by Russell13 but not observed in this work (see Sec. V) have been included in the list. The wavelengths of these lines have been placed in parentheses.
Lines not reported by Russell. A few may be found in the MIT Tables.10
