Abstract

The results of an experiment are presented in which the presence of interference structure in the light scattered from a thin transparent plate is demonstrated. These results, in analogy with those obtained in a similar, previously reported x-ray scattering experiment, are analyzed in terms of the coherent interference between the components of the radiation nonspecularly scattered at the two surfaces of the transparent plate.
