Abstract

The optical constants for the principal directions of single crystals of antimony and bismuth have been determined over the range 0.4 to 11.0 µ. These results are compared with those obtained elsewhere on various polycrystalline specimens. The form and anisotropy of the dispersion curves is discussed. Comparison is made with other anisotropic metals.
