Abstract
The modes and the eigenvalues are computed for a symmetric cylindrical Fabry–Perot resonator with circular output-coupling apertures at the centers of the parallel-plane circular mirrors. Two approaches are used for the computation; the first involves a modification of the open-resonator theory of Vainshtein and the second involves the iterative solution of the integral equation. The computed results from these two different approaches are found to be in good agreement.
