Birefringence of Cadmium Sulfide Single Crystals

Not Accessible

Your library or personal account may give you access

Abstract

The birefringence of hexagonal cadmium sulfide single crystals has been measured between 2.5- and 13-μm wavelength with an estimated accuracy of ±0.0002 of the difference between the ordinary and extraordinary refractive indices. This accuracy is sufficient for the calculation of the thicknesses of wave plates for use in this spectral region.
