Hyperfine structure of excited, odd-parity levels in 139La by laser–atomic-beam fluorescence

Abstract

Dipole and quadrupole hyperfine structure constants are reported for a number of excited, odd-parity levels of 139La. The results were obtained by analysis of the fluorescence induced from a lanthanum atomic beam by a single-frequency dye laser beam.
