Abstract

The materials used and the systematic formulation procedure followed in making the Uniform Color Scales Committee samples were chosen to fulfill the requirements of permanence, compatibility with normal industrial practices, and visual uniformity in different light sources. These materials and procedures are described and the degree to which the requirements have been met is evaluated.
