The high-dispersion absorption spectrum of Ca I is reported for the 1430–1340 Å region. Observations include transitions from 4<i>s</i><sup>2</sup><sup>1</sup><i>S</i><sub>0</sub> to the <i>J</i> = 1° channels associated with the 4<i>p</i><sup>2</sup><i>P</i>° ion core of Ca II. Autoionization and channel mixing of the observed <i>J</i> = 1° channels are correlated using methods based on multichannel quantum defect theory.
