Abstract

Single-mode optical pumping of CF4 to generate 16-μm frequencies has been extended to include the isotopic species 12CF413CF4, and 14CF4 for the lasing medium and 16O12C16O and 18O12C18O for the CO2 pump laser. Thirty-three lasing transitions, between 614 and 645 cm−1, and their respective energies are reported and discussed in relation to pertinent spectroscopic parameters.
