Abstract

m equispaced views of a two-dimensional object yield precisely m2 real numbers characterizing the object. These are generalized moments of the object and are free of aliasing contamination. A reconstruction that matches these moments is positively constrained and maximizes entropy can be generated. Certain types of a priori knowledge can be incorporated, and the reconstruction is not overly sensitive to noise on the data.
