Linearity of quasi-homogeneous partially coherent imagery

Abstract
Imaging under quasi-homogeneous (Carter-Wolf-model) partially coherent illumination is shown to be linear. The effective transfer function is shown to be a cross section of the transmission cross coefficient that characterizes nonlinear imaging with a Schell-model partially coherent illumination.
