Abstract

A theoretical model has been developed to simulate the behavior of a new class of optically addressed membrane-based spatial light modulator. Numerical simulations of the single-pixel performance of adaptive-optics servos that use this type of device have also been performed and indicate that excellent high-speed optical wave-front-error reduction can be achieved.
