Aliasing and zero-order hold reconstruction error in the modulation transfer function of a sampled signal

Abstract

The mean square error in the modulation transfer function as a result of zero-order reconstruction and aliasing of a sampled signal is calculated in terms of the attenuated original harmonic and its replicas.
