Abstract

We demonstrate that the eigenmodes of multiple-stripe-geometry laser arrays can be efficiently analyzed by using a recently introduced method based on the split-step fast-Fourier-transform algorithm. Also, we present a theoretical discussion of the application of the finite-element method to laser resonator problems.
