Multisoliton regime of pulse generation by lasers passively mode locked with a slow saturable absorber

Abstract

We perform a study of soliton generation by a passively mode-locked laser using a slow saturable absorber. We show theoretically that multisoliton regimes of generation are possible. The values of the parameters are found where one-, two-, or three-soliton solutions exist.
