We theoretically propose an architecture of a whispering-gallery mode-locked laser with an integrated intracavity microphotonic electro-optic modulator based on an Er:LiNbO3 disk resonator. The laser promises to be small in size, to have a high pulse repetition rate, and to use a small amount of microwave power.
