Abstract

We present values for the energies of the 4s4pP30,1,2, the 4p2 3P0,1,2 and 1P1 and the 4s4d3D1,2,3 and 1D2 levels in Kr vii. Lifetimes have been measured for the 4s4pP11, 4s4d, and 4p2 1D2 and the 4s4pP31 levels. In the case of the 4s4pP11 level, a variety of methods to correct for cascading is discussed, including the technique of arbitrarily normalized decay curves, which yields an f value for the Kr vii resonance transition of 1.53 ± 0.15, in good agreement with theory.
