Surface roughness as a physical cause of the dip in the results of a Kramers–Kronig analysis of Zn3P2

Abstract

The dip in the absorption-coefficient curve calculated by the Kramers–Kronig method is analyzed. Methods of removing the dip are proposed and used for Zn3P2. Roughness of the sample surface is suggested to be a cause of the dip.
