Alternating-current Stark-effect line shapes in multiphoton ionization spectra

Abstract
Closed-form expressions have been derived for the intensity-broadened asymmetric line shapes produced by the well-known ac Stark effect. This treatment is applied to reproduce experimental spectra successfully by taking into account the effects of the spatial and temporal distribution of the light intensity.
