Noncollinear second-harmonic generation (SHG) in a BiB3O6 crystal was investigated. Using a picosecond Nd:YAG laser as the fundamental light source, we achieved two efficient types of noncritical noncollinear SHG. A total reflection technique was employed to make the experimental setup quite simple. The noncollinear SHG efficiency could be as high as 49.2%.
