Abstract

By means of the vector angular spectrum representation method and mathematical techniques, the analytical vectorial structure of the controllable dark-hollow beam (CDHB) close to the source is derived without any approximation. Analytical expressions of the energy flux for the TE term, the TM term, and the CDHB are presented in the source region, respectively. Energy flux distributions of the TE term, the TM term, and the CDHB close to the source are illustrated with numerical examples. The influences of the beam parameters on energy flux distributions are analyzed, and the dependence of the area of the central dark region for a CDHB on the three beam parameters is also discussed.
