Abstract

The effects of the bistability, multistability, and nonreciprocity in a finite photonic bandgap structure of chiral and achiral layers with an asymmetrically placed nonlinear defect are investigated. The effect of the chirality parameter and angle of incidence on the wave multistable transmission and reflection is studied.
