Abstract

Energy transfer between two nanosecond light pulses interacting in semi-insulating 4¯3m crystals is studied. By using the specific dependences of the photorefractive effect on wave polarizations and crystal orientation, the contribution of this to two-wave mixing in GaAs and InP is analyzed.
