Abstract
This paper provides a basis for the possibility of using optical schlieren sensors to record hydroacoustic vibrations in the frequency range omega greater than or equal to 1-100 kHz (which is an interesting range from the viewpoint of practical applications) on the background of permittivity fluctuations of the marine medium caused by the presence of turbulence and suspended matter. © 2004 Optical Society of America
