Abstract

A photometric calculation of the illumination parameters of a projection system and a water dispersion screen has been carried out. The values of the parameters are used to substantiate the contrast difference of the image when there is external spatial irradiance of the screen in a "white night" by artificial and natural light sources. Based on the results of the calculation, a decision was made to demonstrate spectacular images to a large number of participants of a celebration on the Palace Embankment of the Neva on the white night of May 27, 2003. © 2005 Optical Society of America
