Abstract

This paper discusses modern approaches to the design of multilayer optical coatings, based on the use of various modifications of the method of needle synthesis. The great possibilities of this method and the power of modern computer facilities make it possible to obtain practicable designs of the elements of multilayer optics with any complexity.
