Abstract

This paper presents studies of the interaction of pulsed-periodic laser radiation with the surface of metals. Laser diagnostics of the region of the action were carried out by means of a laser monitor (projection microscope). A method is developed and implemented for reconstructing a three-dimensional relief based on its two-dimensional image, the brightness of whose points depends on the slopes of the surface microareas. The methods of fractal geometry are used to determine the correlation coefficients of the reconstructed reliefs, whose values make it possible to quantitatively estimate the surface state.
