Abstract
This paper discusses a nontraditional optical shaping system for generating extended plasma channels in the atmosphere, using pulsed CO2 lasers and consisting of a convex mirror axicon with a rectilinear generatrix and a retranslating layout composed of two spherical optical elements. The system makes it possible to form the waist of a Bessel beam at a significant distance from the axicon. An analytical model is proposed for designing the developed optical system.
