Initial design stage of video systems on a chip

This paper proposes a technique for the initial design stage of video systems, including the structural and parametric synthesis of photodetector and encoding devices combined on a single chip. An approach to the synthesis of video systems on a chip is outlined, using an efficiency index that takes into account the interconnection of the complexity and the transfer rate. A method is proposed for distributing the area of the chip between the photodetector and the computer. The concept of parallel input of video information from the photodetector into the computer is considered.
