Grinding aspheric surfaces of optical workpieces with a full-size tool

Abstract

This article briefly describes the results of the development and use at NPO GIPO of a full-size tool with an aspheric working surface for grinding. Aspherization is carried out with free abrasive on domestically produced Planeta machines, developed in the 1970s–80s by specialists at NPO GIPO and the Minsk Mechanical Factory and fabricated in Smorgon’ (Belarus).
