Abstract

This paper discusses how the composition and heat treatment affect the properties of the transparent ceramic Gd2O2S:Tb (Ce). The excitation spectra and the spectral composition of the emission and its temperature dependence have been studied, along with the thermally stimulated luminescence and the afterglow kinetics. The relative light output of the x-ray luminescence has been measured.
