This paper presents experimental results on low-threshold optical limitation of nanosecond pulses of radiation with a wavelength of 0.53 and 1.06 µm by CaF2 nanoparticles. It is shown that the limitation threshold lies in the range 50-100 pJ/cm2. A two-stage limiter layout with a limitation threshold of 50 pJ/cm2 and a dynamic range of 2x103 is described.
