The Russian Optical Society and Optical Study Group (1922), the D. S. Rozhdestvenskié All-Union Optical Society (1990), and the International Voluntary Organization D. S. Rozhdestvenskié Optical Society (2001), which are all stages of the common history of the organization and work of the professional and creative collaboration of opticians in Russia, became eighty years old on May 10, 2002.
