Abstract
Relationships are obtained that make it possible to reconstruct the statistical characteristics of the
slope field ~the gradients of the prominences! of a sea surface from the results of a correlation
analysis of its image frames, recorded by means of optical radar operating in the active mode.
Based on this, the possibilities of the method proposed earlier for measuring the
characteristics of the ocean-atmosphere interface are substantially broadened. The method can be
used when working in real time from aircraft or ships.
