Abstract

This paper proposes a mirror-lens system of Cassegrain type with a meniscus corrector that operates in a double ray path. By selecting the glasses of the corrector while maintaining or slightly degrading the correction quality of the aberrations, this system makes it possible to significantly simplify the fabrication of the meniscus. The outer radii of the meniscus are identical in absolute magnitude, while the surface of the chromatic cemented joint is flat. © 2004 Optical Society of America
