The use of nematics for studying the conductivity inhomogeneity of polymeric structures

Abstract

Conductive polymers are used because of their conductivity, which is associated with the microstructure of the material, determined by its degree of oxidation. To study the conductivity inhomogeneity of polymers, it is proposed to use thin layers of nematic liquid crystals, which reveal the structural inhomogeneity of the surface of the material. © 2004 Optical Society of America
