Abstract

This paper proposes a refractometric method of determining the shrinkage of polymers when they undergo UV hardening, using the results of a measurement of the refractive indices of the original liquid composites and of the hardened materials. The shrinkage of epoxy acrylates, urethane acrylates, and urethane acrylate organosiloxanes is determined. © 2004 Optical Society of America
