Abstract
This paper presents the results of tests of single-channel deformable mirrors with controllable curvature of the reflective surfaces in stable cavities of industrial CO2 lasers of various types. Stable, reproducible control of the output radiation power of CO2 processing lasers is obtained in both the single-mode and the multimode regime all the way to complete quenching of the lasing. These results make it possible to implement pulsed-periodic radiation regimes in cw CO2 lasers at low modulation frequencies (0-1300 Hz), as well as close to the resonance frequency of the given mirrors. © 2004 Optical Society of America
