Abstract
This paper discusses a technique for analyzing multispectral images by means of dynamic projection of multidimensional data onto a two-dimensional plane. A cognitive pseudo-three-dimensional pattern is dynamically generated on the display plane. The geometry of this pattern provides visualization of the statistical properties of multidimensional data. The technique allows graphical and intuitive thinking to be used and activated under conditions of a priori indeterminacy with respect to the properties of the objects on the images. © 2004 Optical Society of America
