Abstract

This paper presents an aberrational analysis of a single-lens compensation setup for monitoring concave nonspherical surfaces of revolution with and without an intermediate image of a point source of radiation. Relationships are obtained that determine the functional possibilities of an additional lens in the Offner layout, located close to the center of curvature at the axial point of the test surface.
